The Studio

One studio, many disciplines.

Founded in 2004 as Transitions Architects and rebranded as Studio Transitions in 2020, the practice remains principal-led, disciplined on schedule and closely engaged from concept through completion.

Experience that stays close to the work.

Studio Transitions is led by a compact senior group spanning design, technical coordination and delivery. Their collective experience keeps decisions direct and projects accountable from the first conversation to handover.

Studio Transitions team — architecture, design, visualisation, project delivery, safety, accounts and procurement
2004
Founded as Transitions Architects, Mumbai — starting with corporate interiors and workplace design.
2004–15
Built a corporate client base across insurance, automotive, IT services and healthcare — Tata Motors, Tata AIG, Tieto, Inventia Healthcare, Zee Learn.
2015–19
Expanded into developer showflat programs and MEP engineering in-house, adding environmental graphics and brand narrative as a fifth discipline.
2020
Rebranded to Studio Transitions — the same principal-led practice with a clearer focus on integrated architecture, interiors and delivery.
2020–22
Broadened the portfolio across workplace, residential, sales environments and hospitality-led community spaces.
2023–Present
Developed a responsible 60-day accelerated delivery format for time-sensitive programmes, with any further compression evaluated against scope, quality and cost.
01

Design

Interior design and architecture, from concept through construction documentation.

02

Engineering

MEP design in-house — mechanical, electrical and plumbing, modelled for lifecycle cost.

03

Delivery

Site supervision and project management running compressed, multi-city programs on schedule.

04

Brand

Environmental graphics, signage and identity — the narrative layer built into the space.

Design under real deadlines, mentored by the people who set them.

You'll work directly with Alok and Nikhil on live workplace, residential and hospitality projects. A focused studio means fewer layers, broader exposure and earlier responsibility.

Access

Direct exposure to principals and client-facing pitches from year one — not gated behind seniority.

Breadth

Move between workplace, healthcare, residential and hospitality work rather than specialising in one sector by default.

Craft

In-house MEP and graphics mean you see a project through to the site walk, not just the render.

Pace

Compressed delivery formats — real deadlines, real accountability, not open-ended studio time.
